RIFE COMPANY

Last Friday we were invited to check out the opening reception for a group art show and mural unveiling for Shepard Fairey at district La Brea (on the same street that Retna did his) in LA.  It was fun to catch up with some old friends and check out some next level artists.  I have been a fan of Kill Pixie for a while so I was happy to see his art included in the show too and there were some great pieces from Deedee Cheriel, Mercedes Helnwein, Mel Kadel, Travis Millard, Matt Small, Samuel Lowder, Lezley Saar, Aiko Nakagawa,Todd Carpenter and Steven R. GilmoreShepard, and of course Shepard Fairey (it was also rad to see his monster mural that wrapped around the building too).
